Description
6" (15 cm.) Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, auburn mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white ribbed stockings with blue rims, black two-strap heeled shoes, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1882, the little dolls were offered in Parisian catalogs of the era as "poupees de poche" (pocket dolls) in reference to their petite size. Value Points: especially beautiful face with pert expression.
