14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features with deeply sculpted eye sockets, painted blue eyes, closed mouth with somber expression, rounded elongated nose with upturned tip, auburn mohair wig, composition ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 150 S&H. Comments: Simon & Halbig, from their art-character series, circa 1910. Value Points: very rare model from the limited series created by Simon and Halbig, and having compelling contemplative expression, the doll has beautiful painting, original body, wonderful antique costume, and original toy store label.
