16" (41 cm.) Porcelain swivel head with flat-cut neck socket on matching porcelain shoulderplate, very plump face, painted blue upper glancing eyes with darker-blue outer iris rims, black upper eyeliner, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate which has original metal pin for body attachment, kid poupee body with shapely legs and torso, gusset-jointing at elbows, stitched and separated fingers, wearing original lace dress over green silk under dress, undergarments, matching bonnet, stockings, red kidskin slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1860. Value Points: rare swivel mechanism of head, and finest complexion and painting, rare features such as all-around painted lashes.
