8" (20 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, closely shaved stubble on bald pate, curl in front of each ear, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing original homespun pants and laced vest, laced jacket, fleeced lambskin jacket, kidskin leather sack, woven hat, bound leggings and laced sandals. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, most artistic modeling of facial features, well-preserved original costume.
