14" (36 cm.) Light brown (mulatto) bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, brown feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, black mohair wig in elaborate coiffure over cork pate, lightly brown-tinted French kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointed limbs, stitched and separated fingers, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (artist checkmarked). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878. Value Points: rare complexion with fine flawless complexion, sturdy original body.
