Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender elongated features depicting an older child, deeply set painted blue eyes with defined hollows and upper lids, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke angled brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the very full lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: 150 S&H 2/0. Comments: Simon and Halbig from their art character series, circa 1910. Value Points: very rare model with outstanding sculpting especially for this more petite model, and enhanced by finest touches of lustrous patina, well costumed and with little velvet pup.
