13" (33 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears, attached to ball-shaped torso which contains a musical device, and which is further attached to a decorated wooden handle; when the handle is twirled around, music plays. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.G. (scroll). Comments: French, bisque head by Gaultier, circa 1885. Value Points: all-original luxury Parisian salon toy, with lavish original rose silk and metallic thread costume and matching cap, with brass ball accents.
