12" (30 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, heart-shaped face, elongated neck, well-defined nose, black painted hair with extravagantly-draped ringlet curls framing the face, painted brown eyes, tiny closed mouth, shapely bosom and tiny waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, wrists, hips and knees, painted flat red shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: wonderful state of original preservation, wearing beautiful antique silk gown, undergarments, wide-brimmed bonnet, earrings.
