10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, sculpted brown hair with wisps of curls around her face, topknot and curls at her nape, enamel eyes, shy smile with modeled teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, blue painted stockings, brown clogs, wearing original folklore costume with laced bodice, gold thread banding, and carrying basket. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, very distinctive and charming facial expression.
