21" (53 cm.) A bisque-head boy with blue glass eyes,mohair lashes,open mouth,four porcelain teeth,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig,carton torso containing a clockwork mechanism,hinged composition arms and legs,pulling a two-wheel wooden cart with metal spoked wheels. Seated in the cart is a bisque-head girl with blue glass eyes,mohair lashes,open mouth,four porcelain teeth,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig,carton torso,metal rod upper arms and legs,composition lower legs,bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent,mechanism functions well. Marks: 1078 German Simon & Halbig S&H 6 (boy); 1300 - 4 1/2 Dep SH (girl). Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1900,when wound,the boy "walks" forward,pulling the cart,and the little girl leans forward and back,while gently tapping the little boy with her riding crop. Value Points: wonderfully preserved toy,the little dolls wear their original costumes.
