Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, blue glass sleep eyes, painted features, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, with modeled bent elbows and folded fists, painted white socks and four-strap heeled boots, wearing antique blue knit costume. Condition: one piece imperceptible reglues on upper left arm, upper back left leg and right boot toe. Marks: 0 (head and torso). Comments: doll by Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: with delightfully characterized pouting face, the rare early all-bisque is attached to a superbly-crafted Erhard & Sohne ormolu four wheel walker with tray; when the walker is pulled forward, the doll "walks" forward.
