12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing. Condition: generally excellent, patching on body. Marks: 0. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: petite size 0, lovely eyes, the poupee is wearing antique ivory cotton sateen gown with fine detail of silk fringe trim, undergarments, leather shoes, along with early trunk with engraved image on interior, and containing two additional dresses, jackets, shawls, bonnet, night shirt, and undergarments.
