26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump full cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate (and sparse original human hair wig included), French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R. 4 D. Comments: Rabery and Delphieu, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with finest bisque and painting, original early body with original finish, outstanding original silk costume, undergarments, woven bonnet, and leather boots with impressed signature of Simonet of the Paris doll boutique of Au Bebe Bon Marche.
