Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with sienna-tinted complexion, painted large brown eyes with shaded detail, black upper eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, black mohair braided wig, sienna-tinted composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing kidskin dress with elaborately beaded detail. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1303 S&H Germany 0 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900, the 1303 model was made in several variations including glass or painted eyes, and various ethnicities. Value Points: very rare doll with outstanding quality of sculpting, especially around nose and mouth, and finest bisque with flawless complexion.
