11" (28 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, elongated neck, painted black hair with shaded curls framing her forehead, carved yellow tuck comb at her crown, painted blue eyes with defined pupils, accented nostrils, bow-shaped lips, blushed cheeks, shapely bosom and tiny waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1840. Value Points: especially fine painting of facial features, wonderful original costume including mauve patterned cotton gown, undergarments, woven bonnet and basket, and wonderful leather hand-sewn ankle boots.
