9" (23 cm.) Standing upon a carved wooden plinth is a gentleman, with carved bone head, vest, hands and lower legs, with defined beard and tiny blue bead eyes; and with sculpted wooden hat and costume including tricorn hat and flowing tails of coat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, early 1800s. Value Points: outstanding detail of carving and superb state of preservation.
