18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, flattened solid dome, elongated face, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, kid gusset-jointed body, bisque forearms, lovely lace gown with silk rose appliques, undergarments, stockings, and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 9 H 949 (head). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful "long-faced" expression with very fine quality of bisque and fine quality of complexion and painting.
