18" (46 cm.) A paper mache ostrich with glass eyes and feathered body has hidden mechanism, which when wound, causes the ostrich to briskly walk along pulling the wicker cart with velvet seat and spoked metal wheels to which he is attached. Generally excellent, some paint rubs on frame, mechanism functions well. French, circa 1880.
