16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, deposed Dehors neck attachment allowing the head to tilt forward and sideways as well as swivel, cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent, body especially sturdy. Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: rare Dehors neck mechanism allowing realistic head posing, finest bisque and painting contrast the brilliant cobalt eyes, original wig, wearing beautiful blue velvet costume with lambswool trim, undergarments, blue velvet cap with floral and black bead trim.
