Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,painted lashes,rose-blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked brows,shaded nostrils,open mouth,outlined lips,six porcelain teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,carton torso containing clockwork mechanism,composition arms and lower legs,hinged upper legs. When wound,the bebe waves arms and legs,turns head and cries "mama". Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Bebe Gigoteur,Jules Steiner,circa 1875,this earliest period bebe from the illustrious firm was produced for nearly two decades,this model being one of the earliest period. Value Points: superb unplayed with condition,with original wig set with aqua silk bows that match the ribbon trim on the doll's original lace and muslin dress,original undergarments,socks,and aqua kidskin shoes marked C.C.
