11" (28 cm.) Carved wooden head with defined facial features, very narrow black eyes with black brows, painted black hair brushed behind her sculpted ears and formed into a thickly coiled chignon encircled by red and gold wrap and accented by three barrettes, lightly tinted full lips, cloth body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope, circa 1920s. Value Points: pristine state of preservation, very rare coiffure, and wearing red silk tunic with gold metallic thread embroidery, multi-layered under-jackets, red silk trousers with red silk overskirt having embroidered details with exterior braid, red slippers, handkerchiefs.
