12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head depicting bald headed man, his head tilted toward his guitar, enamel eyes, strongly-defined features, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, sculpted wooden arms and legs, wearing original costume comprising patched homespun pants, silk striped vest, woolen brown jacket, green-lined brown twill cape, woven leggings, laced sandals, leather shoulder sack, and carrying wooden guitar with mother-of-pearl inlay. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
