Description
5" (13 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, narrow blue glass eyes, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with wide smiling grin, hint of teeth, blonde mohair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled bent elbows, defined pointing finger, painted white stockings to above the knees, flat black one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent, imperceptible reglue right upper arm and thumb. Marks: JIO c. 1920 41 (incised). Comments: Germany, circa 1920, from designs by the American artist Jeanne Orsini. Value Points: rare little-bisque with most endearing expression.
