11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. 2 F. Comments: Emile Jumeau, his Bebe Francais model, circa 1892, the trademark name was used by Jumeau after this date; this unique model was created for its purpose. Value Points: the rare model is preserved in original condition, original Jumeau wig, body, earrings, red silk Jumeau couturier costume, woven bonnet, chemise, matching petticoat and pantalets, socks and Jumeau shoes signed E.J. 2. The doll was featured in Fascinating Dolls by Samy Odin, described as "a true little gem".
