Description
7" (18 cm.) Carved wooden head with painted locks of hair at the crown, carved and tinted facial features, cloth body and limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910. Value Points: rare child model with most elaborate original costume comprising lined tunic over shirt, unusual cotton print pants with attached feet, embroidered collar, very elaborate cap which snugly fits the head with elaborate detail and silk pom-poms, and with original cloth bunting whose lining matches the pants.
