12 1/2" (32 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, bald crown with black tuft of hair at forehead and carved curls at sides and back of hair, enamel eyes with heavy eyelids, two painted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted grey stockings and black buckle shoes, wearing original silk breeches, lined embroidered vest, black velvet jacket with embroidered trim. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, early 1700s, rare hair style and expressive features on the gentleman.
