20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of adult lady with elongated throat and up-tilted face, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, mohair lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, kid body with pin-jointing at hips and knees modeled bosom, bisque lower arms, fashionable black silk and green velvet costume. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake on one finger tip. Marks: 172 7. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the model was based upon the illustrations of Charles Dana Gibson, depicting society ladies known as "Gibson Girls". Value Points: uniquely modeled fashion lady with choice bisque, original body, original mohair lashes and wig.
