14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line between the downcast lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, pretty antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 138 7. Comments: Germany, maker unknown, circa 1885. Value Points: charming expression of shy-faced child enhanced by very fine bisque, beautiful early wig, original body and body finish.
