12" (30 cm.) The chest of drawers with arched apron base is of fine burled wood with inlay edging, dove-tailed construction, each drawer with brass edged keyhole and carved bone drawer knobs. Excellent condition. French, mid-1800s, the very fine craftsmanship indicates its original creation as a maitrise model.
