12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, black sculpted hair with unruly curls, enamel eyes, distinctive nose, impressed laughter lines and cheek dimples, tow-wrapped armature posable body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings, tan shoes with red bows, wearing original costume comprising red velvet breeches, silk vest with embroidered edging, green silk jacket with silver buttons, and with silver lidded jar worn on silver chain around his neck. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, very expressive character features distinguish the young gentleman in his town clothes.
