14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderplate with defined bosom and shoulderblades, plump firm kid body with scalloped upper edge and scalloped leg edging, bisque lower arms and hands with individually-sculpted fingers, bisque lower legs with well-defined musculature, knees and toes, open soles designed for Bebe Gourmand function. Condition: reglue at ankle and back calf of right leg, otherwise near mint. Marks: I.T. Comments: the distinctive body designed by Leon Casimir Bru for his unique Bebe Gourmand, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare body with outstanding modeling, sturdy original condition.
