Description
7" (18 cm.) Carved wooden head with painted black pate decorated with painted red combs, attached thread hair and queue, carved and painted facial features, cloth body with wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope mission, circa 1910, faint Chinese lettering on inside of tunic. Value Points: the rare early child has wonderful face, wearing original ivory and aqua silk tunic and pants, embroidered purple slippers, embroidered headdress.
