9" (23 cm.) Carved wooden socket head, painted short side-parted black hair with stippling detail, painted and carved facial features, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910. Value Points: solemn-faced young lad wears original tunic with frog closures under (frail) black silk vest, grey fitted trousers, black silk slippers and black cap.
