13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, painted curly lashes and upswept brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, modeled tongue, two upper teeth, composition bent limb baby body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 Made in Germany Butterfly Baby 90 3/0. Comments: mystery maker, circa 1915, the significance of the name "Butterfly Baby" is unknown. Value Points: rare doll with intriguing back story yet to be uncovered; few examples exist.
