8" (20 cm.) The stoneware stein is encircled with colorful raised designs of 12 Brownies frolicking in the forest; the troupe includes classic figures from the Palmer Cox illustrations including Chinaman, Indian, Sailor, Uncle Sam, The Dude and more. Seated atop the pewter-edged lid of the stein is the Policeman Brownie. Marked "0193 Made in Germany" Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1895.
