18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, dark brown glass inset eyes, painted brown curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, slightly-parted lips, four modeled upper teeth, brown flocked hair under attached paper-mache helmet, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, some repair to back of helmet. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1915. Value Points: the handsome lad is wearing factory-original blue woolen uniform comprising great coat with epaulets and insignias, matching trousers, bound leggings, black shoes.
