Description
9" (23 cm.) Bisque socket head with three different faces which can be alternately revealed by turning the knob at the top of the head, brunette mohair wig, composition bent limb baby body. The faces include crying with painted eyes and scowling mouth; sleeping with modeled closed eyes and closed mouth with fretful expression; and laughing with painted eyes and closed smiling mouth with modeled tongue and teeth. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C.B. Comments: Germany, Carl Bergner, circa 1900, with head by Gebruder Heubach. Value Points: rare facial models for the popular novelty doll.
