Description
8" (20 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with bald pate encircled by a ringlet band of stippled hair, carved and tinted facial features, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese wooden Door of Hope, circa 1910, the doll represents "Buddhist girl nun" according to original paper tag on tunic. Value Points: very rare model with original label, rare hair, original costume comprising blue serge tunic and pants, under shirt, yellow slippers with white cording.
