12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head depicting dark-complexioned man, deeply-sculpted short overall curls, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with two modeled teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings, black shoes with red flaps, wearing original silk costume comprising coral buttoned vest, shirt, tie, long-sleeved jacket, striped breeches. Excellent condition, Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
