11 1/2" (29 cm.) Carved wooden head with very distinctive carved coiffure, hair drawn back from the forehead and with tightly woven braid around the back of head, stippling details of hair around the forehead, carved and tinted facial features cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope Mission, the nurse was one of the original dolls offered in 1910. Value Points: very rare model with distinctive coiffure, original striped cambric tunic and pants with white pinafore, red emblem on pinafore, black slippers, and having original paper label "A Hospital Nurse".
