Bisque swivel head on kid-edged shoulderplate with deposed system allowing the head to tilt forward and side-to-side as well as swivel, cobalt blue enamel eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers, fine antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L. Depose 4 D. Comments: Louis Doleac, Paris, circa 1867, the doll also has the deposed head/shoulderplate attachment deposed by Dehors allowing realistic head posing. Value Points: rare signature-signed poupee with very beautiful face and bisque, sturdy original body, and superb original wig with intertwined silk ribbons.
