Description
7" (18 cm.) Waist-up porcelain nude woman with slender throat, her head slightly tilted, and with long casually-waved curls tied with a blue headband, her arms modeled away from her body with separately-modeled fingers. There are two colorful birds perched on her head, a third on her right shoulder, and a fourth posed with wings ready for flight on her left hand. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1910, attributed to Dressel & Kister, an outstanding large and very rare half-doll with intriguing theme and meticulous detail.
