16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with hard pressed and oil-painted facial features, brown shaded hair with forelock curls, shaded green upper glancing eyes with white eyedots, thick black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, rosy plump cheeks, closed mouth with pouting expression, sculpted rosy ears, stitch-jointing at shoulders, separately-stitched thumbs, disc-jointing hips with shapely plump legs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, few rubs on cheek and hair, some finger wear. Marks: Kathe Kruse A 508. (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1910. Value Points: endearing expression on the wistful-faced child, original signature.
