13" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head depicting a slender-bodied handsome gentleman, black sculpted hair with deeply waved forelock curl at forehead and sides of head, enamel eyes, mouth modeled closed with defined teeth and tongue tip, painted moustache and sideburns, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted blue stockings, tan shoes with red buckles, wearing original silk breeches, vest and jacket. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, excellent portrait-like features.
