15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass side-glancing googly eyes, dark eyeliner, fringed upper lashes, angled brows with ochre shading, tiny button nose with accent dots, closed mouth with watermelon-shape smile, blushed cheeks, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F made in Germany 19 JDK 221 Ges Gesch Made in Germany (head) Made in Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the model was inspired by Rose O'Neill's Kewpie which Kestner also produced. Value Points: the always-delightful 221 model has wonderful bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
