Amber-tinted bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted dark lashes, black brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, impressed dimples at philtrum and lip corners, pierced ears, black mohair wig in elaborate coiffure, amber tinted composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Simon & Halbig Germany 1329 9. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value points: especially beautiful example of the amber-complexioned doll with softly-blushed cheeks and artfully-painted brows, original body and body finish, wearing superb antique silk Asian costume with dragon and serpent embroidery, blue silk trousers, embroidered silk slippers with wooden heels, and elaborate hair ornaments and fan.
