22" (56 cm.) Fine polished walnut canopied bed with natural finish has an elaborately carved footboard with burled inset, high canopy headboard with acorn drops and wooden drapery rings, original porcelain casters, original lace bed fittings with embroidered silk quilt. Excellent condition. American, circa 1870. The extraordinary quality of wood and construction indicates its origin from the hands of a fine cabinet-maker of maitrise quality.
