10" (25 cm.) A firmly-stuffed grey wool flannel donkey is posed upon cast iron spoked wheels, and with grey upright ears, black shoe button eyes, black yarn mane, brown leather harness, reins and saddle, brass bell at the throat, and with original metal Steiff label in ear. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, circa 1900, one of the earliest toys created by the firm, very rare to find especially in this well-preserved condition.
