34" (86 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with plump face and slightly-elongated throat, black sculpted short hair with deeply-defined curls, feathered curls at center forehead, sculpted ears, painted facial features, shaded blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, slender kid/muslin torso and upper limbs, wooden lower arms and legs, painted flat green shoes, antique costume and undergarments. Condition: head very good/excellent with original finish, body is heavily patched. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: proud expression is well rendered with especially fine detail of sculpted hair on the unusually grand size doll, likely an exhibition or actual milliner's model.
