Description
14" (36 cm.) x 10" box. A lidded box with decorative paper borders has a wonderful engraving on the lid depicting four children and their mother seated around a table, playing this actual game. Inside are 18 loto (bingo) cards, each with an engraving of a scene related to the beloved French flower, the marguerite, (such as, a flower seller, a woman putting a coronet of flowers on a seated man's head, and more). Included are playing chips and wooden number chips, in original sacks. Excellent condition. The engraving is signed B. Coudert, published by Narcon, Paris, mid-19th century.
